Do to sickness in the family I may not be able to attend this years reunion.

I am in the process of finding others to take my place .

  I was looking forward to being in St. Louis.

117^thAHC and Detachments 2008 Reunion

June 19-22.
Our reunion will again be held in conjunction with the VHCMA.
The hotel is:

Room rates are $79.73 taxes included per night
and is good for the 4 days before and 4 days after the reunion.

Reservations can be made at no up front cost
and can be canceled up to 4pm CT of the day of arrival
with no penalty.

**IMPORTANT **

This year the 117th is going to try something different for the Saturday Evening Dinner/Dance.
Instead of sending the VHCMA the money for the Dinner/Dance tickets,

I have cleared it with Tom Frankenfield of VHCMA

to have the Saturday evening dinner/dance ticket money

 sent to me by each 117th person attending the dinner.

 I will confirm receipt of your money with an email or mailed receipt if you do not have an email.

Please do not send any other money - just the dinner dance money and make your check or money order

payable to the 117th AHCVA with a memo on the check for the VHCMA dinner/dance.

 Please note the number attending the Dinner/Dance on the check memo

AND on the VHCMA Registration form.

I will then purchase the tickets as a block and set up the table assignments at one time.
This will only help those who pre-register. Any late arrivals we will attempt to get at or near our tables.
Hopefully this will enable us to all be seated together and avoid much of the unit from being split up all over the hall.
When filling out the VHCMA Registration Form
Be sure to mark on the registration form the number of persons who will be attending the Dinner/Dance.

Then in the dollar amount space write : See Al Bennett

This is  for the 117th AHC  Reunion   people  only.

All others  send the Dinner/Dance funds to the address at the bottom of the registration form.

 This will give VHCMA a handle on how many dinners will be needed for the caterer.

Thursday June 19th check in and meet and greet.

Friday during the day you may sign up for any tours VHCMA

 have set up or spend the day on your own.

Friday Evening we will  attend the VHCMA Social if you so desire.

After the Social, the 117^th will go to Harrah's Casino for Dinner ( Dutch Treat)

to enjoy the amenities of the Casino.

The Buffet Dinner is $25.00 per person and from what I hear it is one of the best.
Transportation will be provided between the Hotel and the Casino, for tips to the driver.

Saturday morning is yours to do as you please.

VHCMA will hold their annual business meeting for VHCMA members only.

This usually runs around 1 to 1-1/2 hours beginning at 1pm.

and you do not have to be a VHCMA Member to attend, however

Florida's 21th Annual

 Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion

  Melbourne, Fl  at the Wickham Park

This is a campout  however motels are not far away.

There will be Live Music, Food & Drinks, Military Venders, Military Displays, POW/MIA Ceremonies,

The Last Patrol

and the Vietnam Traveling Wall will be set up for the week April 20-27th

8th TRANS

From what I understand there may be a gathering of the 8th Trans Company ( Light Helicopter) this year.

 I'll let you know more when I find out all the info.
