Reunion 2005

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and that the New Year has started out great.

The 117th 2005 yearly reunion will be June 23-26 in San Antonio. It will again be in conjunction with the VHCMA reunion and will be located at the:

                         The reunion is not for just 117th guys, the 8th Trans , 140th and our detachments are included and welcomed.

This year will be one of the best so far. One of the past 117th CO's David Jayne has invited us to his home for a BBQ on Friday night. David was the CO from Sept.67 to Feb 68. He is now retired and is the founder of and very active in the Texas Burn Survivor Society.

                               For those who like to hit the golf ball he is a member of three country clubs and is willing to help set up a round.

                            His home is located about five miles from the hotel. I don't think we will have a problem getting transportation. I will be checking into that.

                        Please let me know so we can inform both David and the VHCMA                               as to the  number attending. At this time we have eleven guys who say they are going and five wives.

Greetings to all 117th AHC vets. I'm the commander of C Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment (Attack), the "Sidewinders." We have just returned from a year in Iraq and are in line to return. Just wanted to let you know that gunships with the Sidewinder callsign are still supporting US troops in combat.
